I had a Toyota Camry key that had broken between the metal key and plastic housing. I had bought a new OEM key and gotten it cut myself to save money. Instead of having it programmed, I was just going to move the old chip and transponder over to the new housing. Then I realized the chips were glued into the old and new key and I couldn’t just finish the job. I emailed East Coast Chip Keys to have them program the new key. I told them I still wanted the old key left programmed into the mobilizer as a backup, even though it was taped together. They went out of the way to not just give me back the old key, but moved the old chip into a new valet-style key that he cut on the spot at no additional charge. I paid a little over $100 for everything and ended up with two working keys. It would have easily been many times more at the dealer.
