I have a cool old file cabinet from the 1960s, and never had a key to the locking drawers. I managed to get the lock off and brought it to Hank & Sons. The owner identified the company that made the lock, but when he used his resources to find the appropriate tumbler settings, the key would turn in the lock but not swing the locking mechanism into place. Because of his vast knowledge, the owner was able to see that a key shaped like a typical mailbox key might work. He swapped the mailbox key in, cut the grooves and - perfection! This shop has an amazing knowledge of locks and keys. I was very pleased and impressed by their service!
