I'm pleased to post a most positive review for Toms Lock and Key in Coos bay, OR. Their customer service is amazing and their commitment to customer satisfaction 100%. A little less than a year ago, I bought a new, very expensive, industrial grade padlock from Tom's. They keyed it especially for me, so that I had two different keys to operate it: One key opens only the front gate to my business, and the other key opens the gate as well as my building doors. After about 700 lock/unlock cycles, the lock failed. I brought the lock to Tom's, and they tried to repair it. The fix didn't work and the lock failed again the next day. I went back to Tom's with the lock and showed them the problem. While they were looking at it and figuring out what went wrong with it, I went outside to make a phone call. A few moments later, while I was still on the phone, John - a promising new technician - came outside to my vehicle with a brand-new lock in hand that he had already re-keyed to match my two existing keys. He apologized for my trouble and thanked me for trusting him with my business. No charge for the new lock (about $70, plus the special re-keying charge). They guys are truly great! My hope is that one day, if they ever need service or support on something of theirs, the get the same excellent treatment they gave me.
