I purchased a door knob for an apartment building entrance. I wanted a knob that locked automatically and couldn’t find one that style at the local big box store. The employee asked if the door was residential style or commercial and while I thought it was residential, he gave me latch bolts for both just to be safe. I ended up needing the commercial latch bolt, which was a little longer, so he saved me a trip back. He also did a quick check of the door knob to make sure everything worked well. This was another huge help because the knob was a different style than what I had previously installed, but because I had seen the employee disassemble and reassemble the lock I was able to install it quickly by following his example.
